Christine Fitzgerald is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago where she also completed her Masters Degrees in Education and Sociology. Dr. Fitzgerald has over fifteen years field experience as a School Psychologist working with children ages 2 through adulthood in early childhood, elementary, middle school, high school and with young adults in the 18-22 year old transition program. Her certifications include an educational specialist Type 73 and the National Certification in School Psychology. Dr. Fitzgerald’s counseling background includes having worked with families, including children and parents who were referred for domestic violence counseling support services. As a parent of three children herself, Dr. Fitzgerald’s mission is to help parents understand their child’s social emotional, behavioral and educational needs. Her background includes supporting parents through the process of obtaining specialized educational services for their children both within and outside of the school setting. Psychological assessments and evaluations are conducted in a manner that is child-centered and user friendly to parents so that they can actively participate as informed advocates in their child’s educational and social emotional development.
