Marcie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and School Counselor with over 20 years of experience in both community and educational settings. She received her Bachelors Degree from Loyola University of Chicago and her Masters Degree and Type 73 School Counselor Certification from National Louis University.
Her treatment approach focuses on the individual needs of her clients with an emphasis on CBT. Her therapeutic technique helps clients recognize how thoughts, feelings and behaviors may contribute to the client’s stress and difficulty in managing life events. Marcie assists her clients in the process of recognizing their own abilities to change, grow and cope through the therapeutic process. She is mindful of the importance of developing a collaborative, therapeutic relationship that is based on trust, respect and confidentiality. Marcie provides a multi-disciplinary approach through collaboration with outside resources which may include but are not limited to schools, community providers, doctors and family members per her client’s requests. Marcie has experience working with a variety of issues such as ADHD, anxiety, anger, school issues, family issues, autism spectrum, social skills, depression and mood disorders.
