Alexis has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health-School Counseling from National Louis University and she also has a Master’s in Positive Psychology from Arizona State University. In addition to working at Riverview counseling services, Alexis also works as a school counselor at a middle school in the area.
Alexis has experience working with children, adolescence, and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, struggles with social skills, and much more. Alexis puts a strong emphasis on building rapport with her clients. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, supportive spaces. She uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, play therapy and mindfulness to help her clients.
