Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Jane Adams College of Social Work through the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. She also maintains a Type 73 School Social Worker Certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education. Kelly has previously worked in a residential substance abuse treatment center, was employed as a school social worker in a private therapeutic day school setting, and worked as a private clinical therapist in Naperville where she worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.
Kelly has focused on working with children and their families for the past 10 years and works with children beginning in elementary years through junior high and high school. Kelly has extensive experience understanding and managing the social, emotional and behavioral aspects of a child’s life and routinely runs therapeutic groups for school aged children. Often this work involves using a play-based or social approach, as well as offering parenting support and working with the family as a whole.
Special areas of interest include children with emotional or behavioral issues, parenting training, and the special needs of raising preteens and teenagers today. In addition to her work with children, Kelly also works with adult populations, focusing on depression, anxiety, marital conflict and relationship conflict. Kelly believes the right therapist will help you feel empowered and provide support in creating comfort and emotional stability.
