Sidd is a master’s level clinical intern at Riverview’s Saint Charles location. Sidd is currently a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. He previously earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland. Sidd mostly grew up in Maryland and has been in Illinois for the past year and a half for his graduate studies.
Sidd is currently a student-therapist at the NIU Couple and Family Therapy Clinic and works with an eclectic population of individuals, couples, and families. Sidd is interested in working with new couples, adolescents, and families with children from elementary age to college age. Sidd is comfortable working with populations with various cultural backgrounds, especially eastern cultures. Additionally, Sidd is comfortable working with LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and couples. Sidd’s pronouns are he and him and identifies as a male.
Sidd employs mostly Bowen Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Structural Family Therapy and Solution-Focused Family Therapy. Sidd’s approach emphasizes the importance of self-discovery, introspection, and psychoeducation. Helping the client develop insight into themselves is the first step in identifying goals for therapy. Sidd values the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship with trust, respect, strong rapport, reassurance, and accountability. He is open to collaborating with other resources to reinforce successful treatment.
