Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and joined the Riverview team January, 2020. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Illinois State University and a Master’s Degrees in Social Work from Aurora University. She maintains a Type 73 School Social Work Certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education and has been employed as a School Social Worker for the past 14 years.
Erin has clinical experience from working within a group practice prior to her transition to Riverview. Additionally, she has experience working in foster care licensing, working with runaway youth and crisis counseling, as well as parent education. Erin’s areas of specialty include children, teens, and adults with anxiety, parent coaching, emotional regulation in children, and couples counseling. Working with the family as a whole and offering ongoing parenting and behavioral support are ways that Erin likes to work to support children and families. Erin frequently utilizes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottmann Method, and Child-Centered Play Therapy.
Erin has been married for 17 years and is a mother of two children. During her free time she enjoys reading, decorating her home, Netflix-ing, and baking with her children.
