Brittany Pozzi is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois. Brittany received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University. She then earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University.
Brittany has a strong passion for working with children and adolescents, and families. Brittany has experience working with children and families in the areas of community mental health, child welfare, schools, and nonprofit settings while providing individual and group counseling service.
Brittany specializes in working with children/adolescents who may be struggling with: emotional and behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-injury, suicidal ideation, mood disorders, grief and loss, low self-esteem, social skills, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, school refusal, and an inability to cope with daily stressors.
Brittany utilizes a wide array of therapeutic techniques to fit the unique needs of her clients. Brittany focuses on identifying’s personal strengths and using those to assist the client in problem solving and learning new positive coping skills. Additionally, Brittany incorporates evidence base interventions such as Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Expressive Therapies such as Art Therapy and Play Therapy approaches in order to meet the needs of the client.
