Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Studies with an emphasis in Family Social Services and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. Rachel is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Rachel has training in individual, couples, and family therapy. She has experience working with adolescents, couples, and families who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, mood challenges, trauma, and communication challenges.
Rachel emphasizes emotional expression, building connections, finding support, validating emotions, and creating healthy and effective interactional patterns. She believes that it is critical for everyone to have a safe place to share and process through experiences, problems, and feelings. Rachel meets her clients where they are at and focuses on helping each person become their best self, as well as create healthier relationships in life. She strives to empower each person to uncover and utilize their own strengths and accomplishments and to become experts in navigating their own lives.
