Saint Charles Campus
Riverview is excited to welcome Marian to our St. Charles Campus at the end of October!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Governors State University in University Park, IL where I received the Academic Excellence in Leadership and Community Service award while focusing my studies on working in nonprofits. After some time, I returned to GSU and received a master’s degree in Counseling from their CACREP accredited Marriage and Family program. I chose this program because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of families. While I do work with all ages in individual therapy, family therapy, and couples counseling I particularly love working with children and their parents.
I have worked in clinics, schools, and in private practice setting. I have experience working with a variety of diagnosis including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, and ASD. I have also worked with clients who experienced trauma and grief as well as those who need help due to relationship problems, behavioral issues, and overwhelming life stressors. I feel people are more than a diagnosis and that each person’s strengths and challenges are unique. While I may not have the answer to every problem a client faces, I can offer to be together with them by providing a safe and caring space of exploration that allows for the discovery of ways to cope and grow on their journey.
