Alysia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and earned her Master of Arts degree from DePaul University. She is a professional member of the American Counseling Association and the Illinois Counseling Association.
Alysia has over ten years of counseling experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a clinical setting. Alysia is passionate about working with each individual’s goal for treatment and believes a collaborative approach is essential to facilitate resilience and change. She values that we all have unique strengths that help us navigate life’s challenges.
Alysia specializes in helping those struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, processing trauma, parenting issues and the everyday stressors of life. Alysia strives to provide strength-based and compassionate focused treatment. She has an integrated approach, utilizing various evidence based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness-Based and Solution-Focused.
On a personal note, Alysia is the mother of four children ranging in ages from preteen to young adult. She understands the struggles of parenting, and also experiences the joy of motherhood. Alysia enjoys running, yoga, reading and spending time with her family.
