Heather is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has been working in the field of counseling for more than 10 years. She specializes in working with children, teens and their families and has experience working with youth individually as well as in group settings.

As the former director of Tommy’s Kids Summer Camp and Camp Erin Chicago, Heather has a wide array of therapeutic techniques to draw from to fit the unique needs of her clients. She often uses a child centered, holistic approach in her practice, in addition to cognitive behavior therapy where applicable. A mother of two young boys herself, she recognizes the importance of working closely with the caregivers of the youth she supports in order to reinforce the growth and learning that occurs in her therapy sessions.

She has a strong understanding of the barriers that face youth in today’s world and seeks to give them the tools and resources they need to navigate to a successful future. Passionate about helping to educate society on these very same barriers, Heather regularly pursues opportunities for speaking engagements both locally and nationally.

Her areas of expertise include change and loss issues, behavior and impulse control disorders such as ADD/ADHD, generalized anxiety, separation anxiety, fears and depression.
