Laura is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, school counselor, and is also a member of the American Counseling Association. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. After working for a year as a caseworker for the Alliance for the Mentally Ill, she returned to NIU and received her Master’s degree in Counselor Education. It was during this time in graduate school that she discovered her passion for working with children of all ages.

Laura has a strong background in working with children and families in a variety of clinical settings. Her experience includes working with children, teens, and parents to promote healing, growth, and positive relationships. Her experience includes working with depression, anxiety, social skills, executive functioning, Autism Spectrum Disorder, relationship concerns, and behavioral concerns. Laura strives to create a safe atmosphere to explore and develop new pathways to growth and healing through a teamwork approach that builds upon client and family gifts and strengths.
