Mary has over 10 years of experience with prior work includes residential therapist, group home therapist, community based & home based therapies. Mary also currently works at a therapeutic day school and community mental health center (in addition to Riverview). Mary has a M.A. in Art Therapy, from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.

Mary’s specialities include: ADHD, art therapy, autism, child and adolescent mental health, mood disorders, and trauma. Her experience involves working with children, adolescents and adults.

Mary’s personal philosophy is:

“At times, words are not enough to express ourselves and our feelings. Art can be used as a modality for expression, fostering creativity, developing problem solving skills, building self-esteem, increasing attention, regulating emotions, and allows for the safe processing of emotions and traumatic experiences through external media. I utilize a variety of art modalities in therapy including drawing, painting, sculpture, and other visual media. My role is not only as a facilitator in this process, but witness and advocate for each of my clients and their needs.”
