She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Chicago.
Pei has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in outpatient and school-based settings. She supports clients with anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, behavioral and emotional challenges, trauma, self-harm, and suicidal ideation, as well as school-related concerns. She also works closely with parents to strengthen family relationships and build consistent structure and support at home.
Her approach is person-centered and collaborative, integrating evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, along with play and expressive art interventions. She often incorporates creative methods, including origami, to help clients build coping skills, emotional awareness, and resilience in an engaging and developmentally appropriate way.
“I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to grow. I especially enjoy helping children and adolescents build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self as they navigate life’s challenges.”
