Sue is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She has experience working with children, adolescents and their families.

Sue has worked in residential treatment facilities, child welfare including foster care and adoption, and in community mental health centers. As a retired School Social Worker of 22 years, her experience greatly benefits school-aged clients and parents, particularly those experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Sue approaches the therapeutic process with a warm, non-judgmental, empathetic and compassionate style. She utilizes a strength based and client centered approach incorporating various counseling techniques including Cognitive Behavioral, DBT skills, Mindfulness and conflict resolution. Sue’s areas of expertise include ADHD, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood Disorders and behavioral challenges.

On a personal note, Sue is the mother of three grown children and has young grandchildren and understands that life can be very challenging and is committed to assisting clients in their path to personal growth and healing.
